Description
**PLEASE READ:  THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE.  NO OTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE UNTIL THE SOLIITATION IS ISSUED ON THE DATE IDENTIFIED BELOW**

The Ashley National Forest in Utah anticipates a Soil Investigation at Red Canyon Lodge.

The site is located at the Red Canyon Lodge, 790 Red Canyon Road in Dutch John, UT  84023.  This lodge is located near the Flaming Gorge Recreation Area in Daggett County, on FS property and is operated under a special use permit administered by FS.

This project consists of preparing a Subsurface Investigation Report (SIR) at a site where two leaking underground storage tanks were removed in 1994. The historic documentation about the tanks removed in 1994 indicated soil contamination existed at that time and there was no information reported addressing any soil removal or soil disposal from the site.  It is unknown if the contaminated soil was removed or if it remains in the tank basin.

Work shall consist of furnishing all labor material, equipment, and supervision to perform work involved in a subsurface investigation which includes collection of soil samples for analysis to prepare the Subsurface Investigation Report.  It is the goal of the SIR to determine if there is any petroleum contaminated soil that will need to be addressed at the excavation site.

A Site Visit, if held, will be announced in the solicitation

Per FAR 36.204 the estimated price range is estimated to be less than $25,000

This project is a total Small Business Set Aside.

All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.

It is estimated that a solicitation for this project will be posted on or about June 28, 2021
