  1. The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Climate Smart Irrigated Agriculture Project  (CSIAP) of the Ministry of Agriculture and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit to eligible payments under the Contracts given in the table below.
  1. Chairman, Project Procurement Committee on behalf of the CSIAP, Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Rehabilitation/Modernization works as described given in the table below.

  1. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding Procedure.
  1. To be eligible for Contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall have been registered in the field and grade mentioned in the table above with the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA).
  1. Qualification information is indicated in section 4 of the Bidding document, Additional details are provided in the Section 5 of the bidding document. 
  1. Interested Bidders may obtain further information from Project Director, Climate Smart Irrigated Agriculture Project (T.P: 011-2871293, Fax: 011-2053167, Email:-pdcsiap@gmail.com) and inspect the bidding documents at the same place on working days from 09.00 hrs. to 15.00 hrs. 
  1. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Project Director, Climate Smart Irrigated Agriculture Project, No.61/1, M.D.H Jayawardena Mawatha, Madinnagoda, Rajagiriya from 06rd August 2021 to 27th August 2021 from 09.00 hrs. to 15.00 hrs. upon payment of a non-refundable fee specified in the table given above. The method of payment will be in Cash.
  1. All Bids must be delivered to the Project Director, Project Management Unit, Climate Smart Irrigated Agriculture Project, No.61/1, M.D.H Jayawardena Mawatha, Madinnagoda, Rajagiriya,  on or before 15.00 hrs. at 27th  August 2021. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will  be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the Project Management Unit at the time 15.00 hrs. on 27th  August 2021. Bid for each Contract should be submitted separately.
  1. All Bids should be valid up to 12th  November 2021.
  1. All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid security as per the information given in the above Table.
  1. Pre-bid meeting will be held on 16th August 2021 at 14.00 hrs at Project Management Unit, Climate Smart Irrigated Agriculture Project, No.61/1, M.D.H Jayawardena Mawatha, Madinnagoda, Rajagiriya. Interested Bidders may participate in this meeting on their own expenses.
