Contract Title: MAINTENANCE OF 32.11 KM OF KIRKUK-MANZALA -HAWIJAH ROAD IN KIRKUK GOVERNORATE

Reference No: EODP-AF/MOCHPM/K-W1

The Government of Iraq has received and additional financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the EMERGENCY OPERATION DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (EODP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for (Maintenance Of 32.11 Km Of Kirkuk-Manzala -Hawijah Road In Kirkuk Governorate) with a cost estimate of USD 5,200,000 (five million and two hundred thousand U.S Dollars).

The Cost estimate is indicative, and bidders need to bid based on their own estimate. The evaluation of bids is as described in the bidding documents. The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Municipalities and Public Works/Roads and Bridges Directorate now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Rehabilitation of all items of project including:

1- Maintenance of Kirkuk - Manzala - Hawija road in Kirkuk governorate:

repairing the damages in the asphalt layer such as; cracks, potholes, etc., applying of surface layer of 5 cm thickness on the entire road, rehabilitating the shoulders, constructing a concrete and tubular box bridge in addition to road furnishing and markings.

2- Reconstruction of the second irrigation bridge (AL-RAY 2nd BRIDGE) in Kirkuk governorate.

Reconstruction for AL-Rai 2nd Bridge in Kirkuk Governorate includes: - 

  1. Provide equipment necessary to lifting the soil earth soil fill and demolition and removing all parts of superstructure for spans (S1) including (Deck slab, asphalt wearing, sidewalk damaged girder,…etc.) and all incidentals by method keep the structure safe  then lifting and transporting concrete rubbles   from the project site to the location which identified by R.E according to the method which suggested from the contractor and approved by the employer & all that necessary to do by the directions of R.E.
  2. Demolition and removing all parts of Abutment (A1), intermediate pier and piles after doing the structural evaluation and Integrity test for piles
  3. place reinforced concrete Type (D20) for piles of (1.20m) Dim. for Abutment A1,A2 if needed), and place reinforced concrete Abutment (A1).
  4. place reinforced elastomeric bearings, Provide and transportation and place reinforced concrete girders (pre cast pre stress) length (13 m) and depth (0.85m)
  5. place reinforced concrete for deck slab and diaphragm, sidewalks
  6. Spreading asphalt wearing course, set the expansion joint, installation of (hand rail, lighting pole) and operation lighting for bridge.

3- Reconstruction of the third irrigation bridge (AL-RAY 3rd BRIDGE) in Kirkuk governorate.

  1. Provide equipment necessary to lifting the soil earth soil fill and demolition and removing all parts of superstructure for spans (S1, S2) including (Deck slab, asphalt wearing, sidewalk , girder,…etc.) and all incidentals by method keep the structure safe  then lifting and transporting concrete rubbles   from the project site to the location which identified by R.E according to the method which suggested from the contractor and approved by the employer & all that necessary to do by the directions of R.E.
  2. Demolition and removing all parts of Abutment (A1,A2), intermediate pier and piles after doing the structural evaluation and Integrity test for piles

Foreseen construction period is: 365 clander days.

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the Bidding documents.

Interested qualified bidders may obtain further information from Roads and Bridges Directorate/ Project Management Team, Email: Iodpproject@gmail.com  and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the address given below. A complete set of bidding documents in Arabic may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 250,000 IQD. The method of payment will be in cash.

A pre bid meeting would be held on at the address below on Sunday, 11:00 AM, October 17th  , 2021.

Bids must be delivered to the address below before 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 27th , 2021. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 11:00 AM, Wednesday , October 27th , 2021 .

All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” with an amount of (55,000 USD) (The bid security of a JV shall be in the name of the JV that submits the bid. If the JV has not been legally constituted into a legally enforceable JV at the time of bidding, the bid security shall be in the names of all future members as named in the letter of intent).

The bid validity is 90 days
