Question: We have a question for clarification regarding the time input of the consultant for project/assignment. It says in article 2.4 of the ToR that the consultant should work 6 hours per week from his/her home office. Is that correct and will that be required every week for the entire project duration of more than 2 years?
Answer: 6 hours per week from home office is an estimate of the average weekly hours work on the project. Some weeks it may be more others less or nothing.
Tender Invitation Section 5.1 reads, "The tender must indicate the total cost of the project, specified as hourly and total fee. Appendix 5, Financial Proposal should be used."
Question: Does a completed Appendix 5 constitute the financial proposal as required by the Invitation?

Answer:
Yes.
Please note that the final day to submit tenders has been changed to May 2 2012

Locations

Afghanistan

Afghanistan’s infrastructure base remains severely underdeveloped after decades of conflict, with major gaps in transport, electricity generation and water systems. Connectivity projects linking Central and South Asia have been viewed as potential drivers of trade and economic stabilisation. However, limited fiscal space, sanctions-related financial isolation and weak institutional capacity significantly constrain infrastructure financing and private investment. Sustainable development will depend on improved governance frameworks, regional cooperation and gradual restoration of investor confidence.
