The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) is Africa's largest regional economic bloc, uniting 21 member states for trade and development by replacing the Preferential Trade Area (PTA) in 1994, aiming to create a single market through free trade, customs unions, and infrastructure development to boost economic growth and integration across the region.
