1. The Republic of Uganda has received a loan from the World Bank towards the cost of the Irrigation For Climate Resilience Project (ICRP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for supply of  ICT Equipment for Staff  under ICRP  under Lot 1,  Lot 2 & Lot 3.

2. The Ministry of Water and Environment now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for supply of  ICT Equipment for Staff Under ICRP as detailed below;

LOT 1:  LAPTOPS                      

 LOT 2:  DESKTOP COMPUTERS, UPS, TABLETS, EXTERNAL HDD, DIGITAL   CAMERAS AND DRONES

LOT 3: PRINTERS, PHOTOCOPIERS, SCANNERS, PROJECTORS

Further details on the above supplies are provided in the bidding documents.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the  Request For Bids , Goods  procedures using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers - Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” (July 2016, revised November 2017 and December 2020) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Water and Environment, John Kateregga on kateregga9@hotmail.com with copies to dianakaishiki@yahoo.co.uk  and cnankabirwakategano@gmail.com between 9:00am to 5:00pm on official working days at the address below.

5.The Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders for a non-refundable fee of Uganda Shillings Two Hundred Thousand Only (UGX 200,000) prior to submission date. The method of payment will be by Bank Payment Advice Form obtainable from the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) website using “Other NTR” as a tax head in the form. The hard copy of the Bidding Documents in English will be available for pick up at the address mentioned in (8) and the soft copy can be accessed at https://www.mwe.go.ug/library/tendersprocurement.   

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11:00 am Ugandan time on Thursday 14th April 2022.  Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 11:10 am Ugandan Time on Thursday, 14th April 2022.

7. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security per lot.

LOT 1:    UGX: 23,444,200 (Uganda Shillings:  Twenty Three Million, Four Hundred Forty Four Thousand, Two Hundred Only) 

 LOT 2:  UGX 22,759,800 (Uganda Shillings:  Twenty Two Million, Seven Hundred Fifty Nine Thousand, Eight Hundred Only)

   LOT 3: UGX 9,640,200 (Uganda Shillings: Nine Million, Six Hundred sixty four Thousand, Two Hundred Shillings Only)

For Bid Securities issued by financial institution located outside the Employer’s Country, the issuing financial institution shall have a correspondent financial institution located in the Employer’s Country to make it enforceable.
