Stabilization of crossings by the following methods: constructing timber headwalls to protect the roads from erosion caused by turbulence at the inlet and outlets of culverts; placing rock riprap armoring and sand-cement bags along the edges of roads to protect the road banks and surface from erosion during overtopping events; and placing rock armor along stream banks and drainage ditches to protect county rods from channel erosion.
