Description
The Libby RD and Three Rivers RD on the Kootenai NF have a requirement for bamboo stakes and rigid seedling protection tubes (mesh tubes) which are used for animal damage control with tree seedlings.

The diamond mesh tubes protect young tree seedlings from browsing animals for up to 5 years. They allow seedlings to grow and slowly photodegrade once seedlings have grown to a point of establishment. Bamboo stakes provide additional support.
