Title: Pilot Project - Sustainable Rural Mobility for COVID-19 Resilience and Support of Ecotourism
Description: Analysis on how to integrate the peri-urban and rural dimension in new and existing SUMPs, while also investigating the most appropriate level of SUMP (regional/urban/metropolitan/rural area).Analysis of the capacity at rural level for integrated sustainable urban mobility planning, including recommendations on how to dedicate capacity.Demonstrators:— organisation of demonstrators in rural areas on integration of peri-urban and urban dimension in new and existing SUMPs;— set-up of a demonstrator in a rural area on making available capacity in a specific rural area, contributing to the development of a ‘rural’ SUMP, including the communication around this.Output of the EP to the UMI:— support the preparation of non-binding guidance by 2023 on sustainable connection with rural and peri-urban areas.
