Centre for Sustainable Area and Nature Use

Objectives: The grant aims to establish up to four research centers for sustainable area and nature use in Norway, addressing cross-cutting topics in climate, environment, energy, agriculture, and marine sectors. With a funding scale between NOK 90,000,000 and 130,000,000 per center, the centers will contribute to solving challenges related to land and marine use, enhancing innovation and societal benefit through collaboration with industry, public sectors, and societal actors. The centers are expected to play an active society role, fostering interdisciplinary research, knowledge-sharing, and contributing to sustainable policies and area management. The expected outcomes include long-term research activities, collaboration enhancement, and sustainable area use innovations.
