About the Funding Agency

JICS - Government of Japan Procurement Agent - JICS implements procurement services according to diverse needs in Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA) and various fields of assistance for developing countries. In particular, JICS is earnestly engaged in the Grant Aid.

JICS mainly acts as an "agent" of recipient governments through contracts with them under the Grant Aid and implements procurement agent services by managing and supervising overall process of selection and procurement of goods and services as well as fund management.

As JICS concludes contracts on behalf of the recipient governments in the procurement agent services, JICS shall complete the contracts with grave responsibility.
