Neurosciences and mental health new investigator: responsive mode

Objectives: The Neurosciences and Mental Health New Investigator grant, funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC), supports early-career researchers aiming to transition to independent principal investigator roles in the field of neurosciences and mental health. The grant facilitates research aimed at enhancing the understanding of the human nervous system, its disorders, and the interactions between mental and physical health across the lifespan. Projects typically last up to three years with a funding coverage that typically includes 80% of the full economic cost and up to 50% of the principal investigator’s salary. There is no set limit on funding, though it typically does not exceed £1 million.
