Logistics and Events Manager EF Libya

Mission description

The main missions entrusted to the Logistics and Events Manager(s) are as follows:

Organization of expert missions on an international scale: management and logistical organization at the operational, health and safety level;
Logistic organization of workshops, training, events related to Libya and Tunisia with beneficiary institutions and partners: management and logistical organization on the operational, health and security level;
Organization of study visits in Europe, Africa and the Middle East: supervision of visa files, coordination with consular services, assistance to beneficiaries and partners, management and logistical organization on the operational, health and security level;
Coordination and planning of activities on the basis of project projections, implementation and validation of budgets, steering and management of allocated budgets;
Supplier management: finding suppliers, negotiating prices, sourcing services related to operations in Libya;
Coordination with the various departments of the CAM:
Legal and purchasing department: Support for tender documents and management of the examination and contracting of contracts, verification of purchase orders, minutes and purchase contracts;
Financial department: Verification of invoices communicated to the Finance department and follow-up of service provider payments, follow-up of creation of third-party files on ATLAS.
Prospecting for new offices and coworking space EF in Tripoli and monitoring of service providers from the implementation in the offices / co-working spaces;
Full support and follow-up of the safety file of our EF - Libya employees;
Participate in the integration of new recruits in terms of logistics: training, support, assistance, etc.

Project or context description

Country or geographical area: position based in Tunis (potential travels to Libya and other geographies depending on projects’ needs).

She/He will work within the Tunis office, the first country of intervention of Expertise France in the MENA region and in the world. Expertise France implements about twenty projects in Tunisia and Libya supported mainly by donors from the European Union, AFD and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and whose main areas of intervention are:

Democratic governance and human rights;
Democratic, economic and financial governance;
Peace, stability and international security;
Sustainable development, climate and agriculture;
Health and human development.

The Logistics and Events Manager is under the hierarchical authority of the Country Manager and Program Director - Libya and in connection with the Democratic, Economic and Financial Department in Paris and the Security Department.
Required profile

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Minimum experience of 5 years in Management and Logistics;
Experience in the field of GOs, NGOs and development projects;
Experience in monitoring the implementation of EU-funded projects would be an asset.
