Sudan and South Sudan Research Coordinator

Summary

HII is seeking an experienced researcher or research coordinator to lead our projects in Sudan and South Sudan. This position is ideal for someone who wants to take a leading role in delivering a number of HII's evaluation, research and communication projects across Sudan and South Sudan. You would be an ideal candidate if you have a wide network in the humanitarian and development sector, have knowledge of research and field management, experience in qualitative research and want to make an impact.

This is a full-time, ongoing, home-based role for someone living in Sudan or South Sudan.   

The Role 

This role will manage local project teams to deliver research, evaluation and communication field work and research. and support in business development across HII's practices. 

The role involves:

  • Providing local and contextual advice into project designs and analysis;
  • Building and managing effective research and evaluation field teams including recruitment, training, performance management, professional development and logistical support;
  • Building lasting partner and client relationships in Sudan and South Sudan;
  • Producing high quality English language project reports;
  • Conducting qualitative fieldwork in Sudan and South Sudan;
  • Overseeing the fieldwork of mixed methods projects;
  • Participating in business development;
  • Analysing mixed methods data;
  • Ensuring all projects are intersectional, conflict, disability and gender sensitive.

The monthly salary for this role is between EUR2000 and EUR3200 depending on experience, all inclusive.
