CRDF Global is seeking a Project Lead position within the Development and Exchanges Division, to provide administrative, project management, and grant management support for Tuberculosis (TB) preclinical and clinical research studies and other related projects and activities funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). 

The Project Lead will work under the supervision of the CRDF Global NIH Senior Program Manager, with direct guidance from the Forum to Accelerate Science and Translation for Tuberculosis Regimen Development (FAST-TB) Project Director, and with program staff from the NIH National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Division of AIDS (DAIDS) to support coordination and collaborative planning among stakeholders in the FAST-TB, and other high-priority NIH/NIAID TB and TB/HIV research activities.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supports the implementation and management of FAST-TB project plans using best practices for Project Management (for multiple projects) that may include work breakdown structures, statements of work, schedules, deliverables, monitoring and evaluation plans, and project budgets; prepares and submits reports and proposed modifications if necessary
  • Supports communication and coordination efforts across multi-disciplinary teams via coordinating meetings, developing meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes, and distributing meeting notes
  • Leads coordination and logistical support for domestic and overseas workshops or conferences
  • Serves as the liaison for internal units (Finance, Communications, Contracts, Grants, etc.) to execute FAST-TB and ensure the program remains on scope, schedule, and within budget
  • Establishes and manages relationships with key stakeholders and SMEs to ensure the work of CRDF Global is building on and contributing to key project goals and objectives
  • Manages FAST-TB progress by tracking subject matter experts (SMEs) contributions – by way of establishing contracts and ensuring contractual compliance – and FAST-TB Track initiatives
  • Regularly update and provide suggestions for improvement to FAST-TB Project Director and Core Team
  • Produces reports, documents, presentations, and responses to requests for information as required in planning and implementation of projects/strategies
  • Manages FAST-TB website (via WordPress), routinely updating content to align with FAST-TB goals and objectives
  • Supports program/project to provide high-quality deliverables to funding agency relaying timely program information and updates
  • Supports the FAST-TB Project Director with various administrative tasks, as required
  • Evaluates project performance and ensures cooperation among stakeholders
  • Travels within the US and internationally to support FAST-TB meetings and initiatives, as required
  • Supports the development and preparation of requests for applications (RFAs), as needed
  • Supports other programs and staff, as required

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in health sciences (e.g., global health, public health, biology, clinical degree) or in business management with relevant research experience
  • Minimum three (3) years project management experience, preferably in a field relevant to global health, clinical research planning, development, and oversight
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management expertise, with a willingness to build on technical aspects
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Prior experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, or a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, with tight deadlines
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
  • Experience supporting TB/HIV preclinical and/or clinical research, highly desired

Salary & Benefits: The base pay range for this position is $59,360 to $ 70,000.  The determination of salaries in this job classification depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant candidate experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills.  In addition, we have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; 403(b) retirement savings plan; unlimited paid time off; education reimbursement; student loan paydown and an in-network deductible reimbursement through the Difference Card that pays up to $10,000 depending on level of coverage.
