About TSSP Phase 3
The PNG–Australia Transport Sector Support Program Phase 3 (TSSP3) is a critical, high-priority Australian investment that stands to make a major contribution to PNG development outcomes.
Working closely with the Government of PNG (GoPNG), TSSP3 will build on the significant body of achievements, lessons, and relationships from the past 17 years of operation and will continue to contribute to the achievement of the overarching goal of:
‘A more effective, efficient, and inclusive transport system, enabling the economic and social development of PNG.’
Gender Equity, Disability Equity, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Social and Environmental Safeguards, Locally Led Development (LLD), Climate Change and Disaster Resilience (CCDR) and Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning and Adapting (MERLA) are a key focus for the program and are integrated into all of TSSP3’s activities and operations.
This phase of TSSP3 will run from November 2023 to November 2028.
About The Role
Reporting to the Aviation & Maritime Senior Coordinator, the Aviation & Maritime Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination and administrative support for the implementation of aviation & maritime Partnership Support Plan (PSP) activities. This includes facilitating logistical arrangements, supporting the coordination of activities across sub-sector activities as well as collecting data to monitor implementation progress. The coordinator will work closely with agency-based advisers, technical consultants, the Training Coordinator and the procurement and logistics teams.
About You
Selection Criteria:
· Relevant tertiary qualification in project management, logistics, or a related field
· Relevant work experience in project coordination, program implementation or related area
· Excellent coordination skills with attention to details, including the ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workloads, and effectively manage tasks independently and within a team
· Proficiency in ICT tools, including Microsoft Office applications
· Demonstrated ability to foster, develop and maintain strong relationships
· Proven ability to work effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders
· Knowledge and / or understanding in applying GEDSI and safeguards
· Good written and verbal communication skills in both Tok Pisin and English.
