The ongoing conflict in Yemen has caused significant disruptions to the supply chain and to the overall availability of services. In light of the reduced or even absent provision of public services, communities have adopted various coping strategies, including using alternate water and energy sources, relying on alternate service providers and community-based service delivery initiatives to address the shortfall. Physical damage to infrastructure and the lack of functionality in one sector often spills over into other sectors with significant The main objective of this project is to restore road access to critical infrastructure and vulnerable urban communities including the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Aden in support of humanitarian and reconstruction efforts in Yemen, considering climate-resilient and gender-responsive design approaches. The project is funded by the Government of Japan and implemented through the United Nations Office for Project Services (our client). The project activities are expected to complete on 16th September 2025. |

Role objectives |
Our client is currently looking for a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to manage the our client activities under the Defect Notification period after the completion of the Aden Intra-Urban roads works.. The Civil Engineer will work closely with the project staff, under the direct supervision of the Project Manager. The candidate will perform his/her work in full compliance with our client standards, guidelines and procedures. It is expected that the Civil Engineer will provide services in two ways:
