Business Development specialists in South Africa

CEFE International is looking for experts for the project "Just Transition to a Decarbonised Economy for South Africa
(JUST SA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support SMMEs in business development, financial management, and operational planning.

• Advise SMMEs on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.

• Provide training, mentoring, and capacity building for entrepreneurs, including female-led enterprises.

• Contribute to strategy consulting, business planning, and marketing support.

• Engage with local stakeholders to facilitate access to finance and business support services.

• Manage and mentor teams where required, ensuring quality service delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: University degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or German Diplom) in Management, Finance, Law, Economics, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Engineering, Environmental Technology, Renewable Energy, Energy Management, or related fields.

• Language Skills: Excellent command of English (C2). Knowledge of siSwati, isiZulu, Xitsonga, or isiNdebele is an asset.

• Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in business management, SME development, renewable energy, sustainability, or finance.

  • Experience in advising female entrepreneurs and supporting women in leadership positions.

  • Experience in strategy consulting, business planning, and marketing.

• Leadership: Minimum 5 years of management experience, preferably leading teams of 5 or more people.

• Local Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in South Africa.

• Other Skills: Strong training, mentoring, and capacity-building capabilities. Experience with green business development is a plus.
