The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a global program for violence prevention, civil conflict transformation, and peacebuilding. In cooperation with civil society and government partners, the CPS in Northern Iraq advises governmental and non-governmental institutions and organizations on dealing with the past violence, expanding psychosocial support measures, promoting intercultural dialogue to reduce prejudice, and networking actors at local, national, and international levels. The PME Advisor is responsible for implementing the PME system in alignment with CPS Global Program standards, coordinating closely with the CPS Program Coordinator, and preparing inputs for Global Program monitoring.

The security situation is very tense. Tailored Security risk mitigation measures are in place for GIZ staff in country. GIZ staff must adhere to security measures at all times. Freedom of movement is strongly restricted. It is not possible for life partners and family members to move with you to the country of deployment.

GIZ's Development Service is looking forward to applications of candidates with a professional qualification and / or university degree and at least two years of professional experience. In addition you hold the German nationality or the nationality of a member state of the European Union.
Willingness to travel on a regular basis is required.
