Social Safeguard Specialist

The opportunity aims to improve State Highways/ Major district road and Rural Roads, enhance climate and disaster resilience of roads, and strengthen institutional capacities of Maharashtra Public Works Department (MPWD) and Maharashtra Rural Road Development Association (MRRDA).

Criteria:

1. Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences or related field.
2. Total professional experience: 7 years
3. 5 years of experience in implementing or monitoring social components for developmental programs, preferably in transport sector.
4. Familiarity with ADB policy on social safeguards, and program compliance monitoring and reporting is preferred.
5. Experience in programs financed by multilateral development banks such as ADB or other donor agencies.
