Southeast Asia Sustainable Tourism Facility Project Preparation Support for Tourism Infrastructure for Inclusive and Resilient Growth Project
Tasks:
§ Conduct climate risks screening of the project
· Prepare the climate risk assessment for the project (with system context), considering both engineering and non-engineering elements of the project for risk mitigation
§ Prepare the climate risk assessment report and climate change assessment (CCA) linked document
§ Prepare Paris Agreement assessment (PAA)
§ Work with the other key specialist to ensure climate and disaster risk reduction mainstreaming and integration across the project
§ Propose and outline appropriate adaptation and mitigation measures for incorporation in the project design
· Work with the economist/financial specialist, to accurately track the share of project financing that qualifies as climate finance (adaptation and mitigation finance), by costing all of the relevant additional adaptation and mitigation measures included in project design
· Propose climate-resilient design standards and climate-adaptive engineering measures
· Estimate potential greenhouse gas emission reductions
Minimum Qualifications:
· Postgraduate degree in Environmental Engineering with specialization in Climate Change Assessment.
· 12 years of experience in environmental related assignment with around 5 years of experience in climate change / resilience related works
· Demonstrated expertise in climate vulnerability assessments, climate risk management, and climate change adaptation planning.
· Experience in international best practices and ADB frameworks related to climate change, such as the Paris Agreement, ADB Strategy 2023, and Climate Change Operational Framework 2017– 2030.
