About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional and highly accomplished Team Leader and an Engineer’s Representative to lead a major road infrastructure project. This is a prestigious opportunity for a seasoned professional to take full ownership of the supervision team, ensuring that works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
As the Engineer’s Representative, you will be the key interface between the Employer and the Contractor, administering the construction contract under the FIDIC Red Book. We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a deep technical background in road works to guide this complex project to successful completion.
Candidate Profile: Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a proactive and decisive leader with a proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects under FIDIC contracts.
General Qualifications:
A University Degree in Highway Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification directly related to the speciality.
A minimum of fifteen (15) years of demonstrable professional experience in the design, construction, and/or supervision of road works.
Specific Technical & Contractual Expertise:
At least ten (10) years of focused experience in the supervision of road rehabilitation and/or construction works.
Demonstrated experience with asphalt pavement construction.
Proven experience as an Engineer’s Representative on at least two (2) projects of similar size and complexity carried out under one of the following FIDIC General Conditions of Contract:
FIDIC 1999 (Red Book)
FIDIC 2017 (Red Book)
FIDIC MDB 2010 (Red Book)
Candidates must have a minimum involvement of two (2) years on each of these projects.
Previous working experience in at least one (1) project of similar size and complexity carried out under FIDIC 2017 (Red Book) with a minimum of two (2) years’ involvement.
Regional & Language Skills:
Regional Experience: Candidates must demonstrate previous work experience in the European Region and/or the former Soviet Union countries. Familiarity with local practices and regulatory environments is essential.
Language Proficiency: A sound working knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken) is mandatory for contract administration, reporting, and communication.
