We are pursuing an opportunity with the Department of Surface Transport, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT), Royal Government of Bhutan relating to Multimodal Transport and Trade Logistics Assessment, Formulation of Masterplan(s) and Supporting Capacity Development.
The primary objectives of this World Bank-funded consulting services is to assist MoIT in conducting a techno-financial feasibility assessment of Bhutan's inland waterways, ropeway and proposed rail routes. Additionally, the consultancy aims to develop a comprehensive multimodal transport and trade logistics master plan, as well as a detailed railway master plan for Bhutan.
We are looking for a Transport Modeler meeting the following requirements.
▪ The Transport Modeler would be expected to have an advanced degree in transport planning or a related field, and considerable experience in the production and use of strategic transport modelling for studies of this type.
▪ She/he would be expected to have a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience. Prior demonstrated experience of using various transport modeling, planning software is necessary.
▪ Experience with national or regional freight models
▪ Integration with economic, logistics cost, and modal shift analysis
▪ Experience working with data‑poor environments. Ability to find available open-source data and prior experience of producing quality analysis with data limitation.
