The program seeks to contribute to increased flows of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Paraguay through the development of efficient and transparent skills, competencies, and incentives. The program will have four components: (a) definition of investment promotion strategy / export, (b) institutional strengthening for the attraction of investments, (c) structural measures to promote foreign direct investment, and (d) financing specific/regional activities. Status: In preparation stage. Estimated total cost: US$ 11 million. Loan amount: US$ 10 million. Executing agency: To be determined.

IADB - Inter American Development Bank - is the largest source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean. Established in 1959, the IADB supports Latin American and Caribbean economic development, social development and regional integration by lending to governments and government agencies, including State corporation.
Covers general goods and services that support daily operations, facilities management, and basic institutional needs.
Entails initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, strengthen competitive markets, and expand domestic and international trade opportunities.
