National Consultant to support the implementation of regional self-assessment methodology and development of action plan on mainstreaming DRR and CCA into development plan of Dushanbe city

Objectives: The primary objective of this assignment is to carry out a comprehensive review and assessment of Dushanbe city's risks and hazard profiles, utilizing the international consultants' self-assessment toolkit. This involves analyzing existing profiles, reviewing urban planning policies, and identifying gaps and opportunities to integrate resilience measures into the city's planning processes, specifically focusing on urban areas to enhance regional cooperation and innovative approaches based on experiences from other countries like Japan. The project's focus is to establish mechanisms for regional collaboration, define risk governance for urban resilience, and pilot innovative adaptation and risk reduction measures in urban settings.
