National firm for conducting the study on compliance to CORSIA for Viet Nam aviation sector

Objectives: The tender seeks a national firm to conduct a comprehensive study on the compliance of the Viet Nam aviation sector with the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). The primary objective is to evaluate the aviation sector’s current compliance with CORSIA and analyze its potential for utilizing domestic carbon credits for offset purposes. The study will deliver policy and legal recommendations to guide the Vietnamese government and assist airline corporations in developing a roadmap for the efficient use of carbon offsets. Additionally, the project will involve conducting an in-depth analysis of options for CORSIA compliance, with a focus on assessing both the environmental impacts and economic feasibility of these options. Deliverables include a set of recommendations and a comprehensive roadmap for the Vietnamese aviation sector to successfully meet CORSIA’s requirements, furthering Vietnam’s international climate commitments.
