REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
(CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION)

1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has applied for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Dar es Salaam Urban Transport Improvement Project (DUTP) and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds for Consultancy Services for Supervision of Building Works - Dar es Salaam Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Infrastructure – Phase 3.

2. The Consulting Services ("the Services") includes Supervision of Building Works - one (1) depot, one (1) terminal and three (3) Feeder Stations for a period of twenty four (24) months of Construction Supervision excluding 12 months defects liability period.

3. The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), an Agency of the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication now invites eligible consulting firms ("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: Eligibility, Experience on Similar Assignments in the last ten (10) years, experience in similar conditions and availability of appropriate skills among staff related to the assignment.

4. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011, revised July 2014 ("Consultant Guidelines"), setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

5. Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a Joint Venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications.

6. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.

7. Further information can be obtained at the address below during office hours from 08:00 – 16:30 hours local time, Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except on Public Holidays.

8.
