Objective and Purpose of the Assignment

   

The objectives of this assignment will assist the HCG particularly the HPMO, and IAs particularly local project implementing units (PIUs) in the management, fiduciary and technical capacity required to ensure implementation of the project in accordance with the agreements with the ADB to achieve high standards of quality, safety, progress, monitoring and investment as well as supervision and contract management in accordance with international practices. The consultants will strengthen the project implementation capabilities to ensure that (i) the HCG including the PMOs and subproject IAs including PIUs are able to function as effective project management units; (ii) social, resettlement, and environmental impacts are monitored and mitigated; and capacities of PMOs and subproject IAs including PIUs in implementing and operating the project are developed.
