Description

This is a call for partrnership by a  Ghanaian national NGO in a youth development and advocacy for a significant funding to deliver programs and initiatives to support the youth of Ghana.

The problem to be addressed is that unemployment among young people in Ghana has not been eradicated and the creation of employment opportunities has remained a challenge to policymakers. When the unemployed youth in Ghana are supported, they will become useful citizens.

The APiYD is registered as an NGO at the Registrar-Generals Department as a Company Limited by Guarantee and subsequently, registered at the Ghana Revenue Authority; and then, licensed by the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (NPO Secretariat).
The objectives of APiYD’s programs encompass the following: (i) expose participants to best practices in career coaching and mentorship, (ii) train participants through the rudiments of entrepreneurship and business start-ups and financing, and (iii) inculcate in the youth employable skills for employment readiness and career success. (iv) Empower today’s youth to become smart and sophisticated leaders to transform their environment. (v) Harness the power of networking through social media and emerging avenues for building connections, raising funds, and matching mentors to mentees; and (vi) deploy resources (material, physical, human, financial, and technological) to support youth development.

Ten (10) structured programs have been developed to support 35,000 young people to cover the following: Career coaching, Mentorship, Entrepreneurship, Youth development concepts, Business start-ups, Leadership development, Professional development, Financial literacy, Capacity building, and Tax preparation certification.

The youth population to be served is from the ages of 18 to 35. The outcome of the program will help the young people of Ghana to be developed into useful citizenship.

Astute Professionals in Youth Development (APiYD), LBG, seeks an annual budget of two million United States dollars ($2,000,000.00). The provision of this magnitute of funding for APiYD’s programs will help in the upliftment of the Ghanaian youth in making meaningful contributions to national development.

Partner with us to make these laudable objectives a reality.
