Description

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is interested in collaborating with Finnish companies and organizations to develop sustainable infrastructure in Ethiopia. The identified needs are focused on the Qoloji refugee camp in eastern Ethiopia. Join our webinar on 26 May from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, where you will gain practical insight into local needs and have the opportunity to present your solutions directly to UNDP representatives and key local government stakeholders.

UNDP Ethiopia supports the development of refugee settlements towards more sustainable, climate-resilient and economically viable settlements , working closely with regional and local authorities. As part of this work, UNDP seeks private sector solutions that combine development impact and scalable business models.

What kind of solutions are in demand?

UNDP is interested in Finnish infrastructure solutions related to:

  • Renewable energy solutions , such as solar mini-grids, pre-paid energy systems, and clean energy services
  • Climate-resilient and energy-efficient housing solutions , including modular, sustainable and affordable building solutions
  • Smart water systems , such as solar-powered boreholes, efficient water distribution, and digital monitoring solutions
