Description

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is a federal Crown corporation in Canada that finances research and development inside and alongside developing regions as part of Canada's foreign affairs and development initiatives. IDRC is responsible for providing financial resources, guidance and training to developing-country researchers to identify answers to local issues and share their expertise with policymakers, researchers and communities all over the world. IDRC fosters talent by giving fellowships and awards and it places new information in the hands of those people who can best apply it to address global issues.
