The initiatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in global health reflect the United States Government's dedication and resolve to alleviate suffering, save lives and build a better future for families and communities in low- and middle-income countries. USAID addresses health issues by increasing the quality, availability, and usage of vital health services to promote global health. USAID's Bureau for Global Health supports health programs in partner countries and strives to enhance research and innovation and transfer innovative technologies through programmatic work, collaboration with other donors, and a grant portfolio.
