MPTEN - Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Economy of the Republic of Congo / Ministère des Postes, des Télécommunications et de l’Economie Numérique (MPTEN)

In accordance with Circular No. 016 of 16 March 2013 on the 2012-2016 Government Roadmap, the President of the Republic mandates the following missions to the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications:

Continued reform and creation of the regulatory authority of the ICT sector;
Continued implementation of the promotion and popularization of ICT in Congo, through the establishment of e-government;
The creation of a national telecommunications infrastructure management company;
The continuation of the legal restructuring of Congo Telecom;
The extension and modernization of wired optical fiber telecommunications throughout the national territory and the interconnection to the subregional network (PCN, CAB);
Development of the national policy of development of information and communication technologies (cyber strategy);
The creation of the National ICT Agency;
The continuation of the national policy of passage the audiovisual analogy to digital.
