Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) is a financial institution founded in 1966 in Bangkok, Thailand whose purpose is to provide financial assistance to farmers, farmer associations and agricultural cooperatives. BAAC has various branches across the country in Chiang Rai, Tak, Udon Thani, Sa Kaeo, Rayong and Trang.
BAAC’s vision is to be a secure rural development bank with modern management, providing comprehensive financial services to sustainably improve farmers’ livelihoods. It values sustainability, participation, accountability, respect and knowledge. BAAC is required to fulfil specific functions such as providing financial services, improving the efficiency of the agricultural value chain, developing resource management, supporting agricultural entities, promoting the utilization of innovations and technologies, increasing the country’s competitiveness and managing capital. BAAC remains dedicated to supporting the agricultural sector with a strong focus on proactive customer service. Some of the services offered include savings deposits, time deposits, relief fund deposits, current accounts, lottery savings, credit services (short-term loans for agricultural products, loans for the postponement of the sale of farm products, cash credit loans, etc.) and trade services (Advice LC, EBC, Shipping Guarantee, Delivery Order, forwards, etc.).
