Description
The Department of Tourism is the Philippine government's executive department responsible for regulating the Philippine tourism industry and promoting the Philippines as a tourist destination.
With the support, assistance and cooperation of both the private and public sectors, the Department of Tourism is mandated to encourage, promote and develop tourism as a major socio-economic activity in order to generate foreign currency and local employment and to spread the benefits of tourism to a wider segment of the population.
The Department of Tourism ensures that foreign and domestic tourists have a safe, convenient and enjoyable stay and travel experience in the country.
