Description

Switzerland started its support to Kosovo in 1998 with its Humanitarian Aid Programme.

Nowadays, numerous development projects are coordinated by the Swiss Cooperation Office in Pristina. It is run jointly by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), part of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (seco), which forms part of the Swiss Federal Department for Economic Affairs.

The cooperation programme in Kosovo is enabled also by the financial contribution of the Federal Office for Migration (FOM), part of the Swiss Ministry of Justice and Police.

Swiss Assistance Programme is concentrated in three domains of cooperation:

Governance
Business Development
Infrastructure
