Description

AUSAID (Australian Agency for International Development) is the Australian Government’s overseas aid programme providing grant assistance to NGOs (and the government and other institutions) for purposes of reducing poverty and achieving sustainable development. The aid programme is present is almost all the developing regions of the world including South and East Asia, the Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. Australia is supporting the Government of Indonesia to more accurately target and deliver programs to help the poorest and most vulnerable. This includes improved management and monitoring of its successful community empowerment program, PNPM, which delivers grants to communities for small scale infrastructure and income generating activities.
