The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, known by its acronym MEXT in English, is one of the eleven Ministries of the Government of Japan.
MEXT’s goal is responsible for funding research under its jurisdiction, some of which includes: children's health in relation to home environment, delta-sigma modulations utilizing graphs, gender equality in sciences, neutrino detection which contributes to the study of supernovas around the world, and other general research for the future.
MEXT encourages research and development in many areas of science and technology, such as fundamental science, technology, and innovation. The ministry supports international scientific research cooperation by sponsoring research and development initiatives.
The ministry additionally promotes the preservation and promotion of Japan's cultural heritage sites, particularly those that have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
