"L'Enregistrement" is one of the 3 tax authorities of the Grand Duchy, alongside the Administration of Direct Contributions and the Administration of Customs and Excise .
All duties, taxes and levies which relate in particular to the legal circulation of goods, fall within its competence with VAT , sales of buildings , exchanges , donations , shares , contributions , successions , investment fund subscription tax . These taxes constitute the essential part of the so- called indirect taxation .
The administration of State properties, the collection of state duties and revenues of all kinds, the fight against money laundering and the mortgage system constitute another important aspect of the AED's competences.
