The Danish Customs Agency's task is to ensure simple declaration of correct customs duties and efficient administration of the EU's set of regulations in the customs area. At the same time, it is our responsibility to maintain strong customs control and to protect Danish society against the importation of illegal goods. As an agency, we ensure correct customs clearance to the EU through effective control efforts and digital services that make it easy for companies and citizens to pay the correct customs. In cooperation with other authorities, we work to prevent illegal imports and protect citizens and businesses from dangerous or health-damaging goods such as e.g. weapons and drugs.
