The National Secretariat for Risk Management is a decentralized public body responsible for guaranteeing the protection of individuals and communities from the negative effects of disasters of natural or anthropogenic origin, through the generation of policies, strategies and regulations that promote capacities aimed at identifying, analyzing , prevent and mitigate risks to face and manage disaster events; as well as to recover and rebuild the social, economic and environmental conditions affected by eventual emergencies or disasters. Its outstanding programs are related to: emergency care; response agency; climate outlook analysis; ENSO plan; and Information System for Risk Management.
