Cités Unies Liban (CGLU)

United Cities Lebanon/Bureau Technique des Villes Libanaises (Cités Unies Liban/BTVL) leads the network of Lebanese local authorities that are members of the world organization United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), which aims to promote the principles of local democracy, partnership and solidarity between cities, in particular by supporting decentralized cooperation programs and by mobilizing funding and technical support for the international actions of projects and its members.
The Technical Bureau of Lebanese Cities (BTVL) is responsible for assisting local authorities at the technical and institutional level for the capacity building of elected officials and municipal officials, for the development and implementation of their development projects as well as to develop their international relations.
