Central Office of Measures ( GUM ) - an institution established on April 1, 1919 by the Decree on Measures signed by the Chief of State Józef Piłsudski on February 8, 1919 , as one of the first state administration institutions in the reborn Poland .
In the years 2021-2023, the construction of the first stage of the new laboratory campus of the Central Office of Measures in Kielce took place , while the occupancy permit was obtained at the beginning of 2024.
The scope of tasks of the Central Office of Measures includes issues related with scientific, legal and industrial metrology as well as hallmarking. There is a close cooperation in the above mentioned fields, which makes it easier to coordinate the execution of tasks that the Polish administration of measures is charged with.
