Research Scientist on infectiouis diseases including HIV and TB, educator, teacher, and mentor with over 21 years of research and teaching experience. 

As a researcher, I worked in collaboration with scientist and researchers around the world on different projects and have presented in international conferences (also as a plenary speaker) and participated in two international conference as part of the Organizing Committee Members of the Conferences. I have published more than 36 research articles in international journals including in the Lancet and Nature journals with more than 14000 citations and an h-index over 26.

As a Lecturer/facilitator, I lectured Medical Biochemistry and Nutritional Biochemistry to 2nd and 3rd year Medical Sciences students and 2nd year Nutrition students at the University of Limpopo. I also facilitated lectures on HIV pathology and pathogenesis and TB pathology and pathogenesis. I also facilitated lectures on how to write a scientific abstract, paper/manuscript and dissertation/thesis at the Medical Research Council of South Africa’s HIV Prevention Research Unit.
