Akosua B.K. Amaka-Otchere is a Development Planner and has over fifteen years working experience in various development related fields as a development planner and in a number of voluntary endeavours. Her professional engagements have been in the form of development research, development policy analysis, landuse planning, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation principally in development fields of governance, energy, environment and gender. She specialised in Development Planning and Energy for her Doctorate degree. Development agencies/institutions she has consulted for include the German Bank for Development (KfW), German Technical Cooperation (GIZ), Insitute of Local Government Studies (ILGS), the World Bank, and assisted in consultation for a number of development agencies including United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), European Union (EU), ACTION AID, JICA, Shell Foundation, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Katholisch Soziale Akademie – Germany. She has extensive skill in statistical analysis using SPSS software. She is fluent in the English language, fairly fluent in German, and has working knowledge of three Ghanaian languages. She holds a doctorate degree (Dr.rer.pol) in Development Planning and Energy from the Technische Universität Dortmund, Germany.
