Thurstan is an independent climate change, international development and MEL consultant who recently left with IMC Worldwide’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team.

He is currently Team Leader of a climate mitigation project for the Children's Investment Fund Foundation and he was recently Team Leader of the monitoring component of a project to monitor and evaluate the UK's £5.8bn climate finance portfolio.

Prior to joining IMC in 2016 Thurstan worked within a variety of top tier academic (University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership), non-profit (Prince of Wales Business & the Environment Programme, The Climate Group) and corporate settings (IDEAcarbon).

He has extensive knowledge of MEL, climate change KPIs, energy access, climate policy, carbon trading, low carbon technologies, sustainable business and corporate social responsibility.
