About

I have over 12 years of international development experience with more than five years of experience in Communications and Knowledge Management. Over time, I have gained experience in programme management, knowledge management (KM), programme communications management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), human resource management and finance & operations management. I have worked with the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) - funded governance programmes, Zenith Bank Plc, and a Stock Brokerage firm. This range of experience has provided me with a practical understanding of the requirements of a successful organisation.

In my current role as Knowledge management, Communications and Reform Facilitator with DAI's Accountable, Responsive & Capable Government (ARC) Programme, I lead the Governance Intervention with a budget of £100,000, supporting the Kano State Government to strengthen its systems and processes around public financial management and monitoring and evaluation. My technical and management advisory support to government partners has culminated in the state achieving grants from the World Bank SFTAS Programme, the establishment of new structures, better IGR prospects and more effective tools targeted at improving service delivery for education and universal health coverage.

I have effectively and efficiently managed state programme interventions and operations, human resource and logistics management in both corporate and development organisations.

I have held leadership positions while working in FCDO’s governance and accountability programmes and as a student volunteer delivering on economic empowerment interventions with Enactus (formerly Students in Free Enterprise – SIFE). I am an excellent team player and I work swiftly with minimum guidance. I am self-motivated and influence teammates alike. I enjoy being part of a growth-oriented organisation where I can utilise my potential to add value to the organisation with opportunities for self-learning & professional growth.
