Grants to Finance Demonstration Plots for the Dissemination of on-farm Water Management Practices (efficient Irrigation Technologies) in Rural Areas Vulnerable to Climate Change

Objectives: The Grants to Finance Demonstration Plots for Dissemination of On-farm Water Management Practices aims to enhance agricultural resilience against climate change effects in rural Moldova. Supported by the Rural Transformation Capacity Building Program (TRTP) and funded by IFAD and Adaptation, the grant targets financially supporting small, commercially oriented farmers to implement advanced irrigation techniques, thus reducing poverty, limiting migration, and ensuring better market accessibility. The grant program is expected to award up to 10 grants, each covering up to 70% of eligible expenses, not exceeding $7,500, to support the adaptation and economic sustainability of rural farming operations.
