The results of the evaluation for the call InnovFund-2023-NZT are as follows:

Number of submitted proposals: 337

Number of withdrawn proposals: 2

Number of inadmissible proposals: 39

Number of ineligible proposals: 15

Number of above-threshold proposals: 149

Number of proposals retained for funding: 85

The total budget requested by all submitted proposals was about EUR 25 billion (more than 6 times the available call budget of EUR 4 billion).

Application form part A and Part C (Key performance indicators) are UPDATED in the Electronic Submission Service

Part A two additional sectors can be selected as “Fixed keyword 1”

Following to the recently updated Methodology for calculation of GHG emission avoidance (version 3.1 - 1 March 2024) (see “Topic conditions and documents” tab) two new sectors were added (Buildings and Road transport) and can now be selected as “Fixed keyword 1” in application form part A to be filled in online.

Part C (Key performance indicators) – UPDATED version

An updated version of Part C (KPI) containing additional project data is now available to be filled in online.

Should you have already started filling in the previous version of Form C, you will have to enter your data again.

Should you have already submitted a proposal with the previous version of Form C, you are invited to enter your data again and resubmit your proposal.

Please note that filling in form C is mandatory in order to submit the proposal.

REMEMBER:

If you edit a proposal (a draft or already submitted), you must still submit it before the call deadline by clicking on “ Submit”.

The deadline for submission of proposals is 9 April 2024 at 17h00 Brussels time.

The last day to send questions related to the call to the Innovation Fund (INNOVFUND) Helpdesk is 21 March 2024. Questions received after this date will not be replied. The IT Helpdesk remains open.

Scope:
The following activities can be funded under this topic:

activities supporting innovation in low-carbon technologies and processes in sectors listed in Annex I and Annex III to the EU ETS Directive 2003/87 , including environmentally safe carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) that contributes substantially to mitigating climate change, in particular for unavoidable process emissions, as well as products substituting carbon-intensive ones produced in sectors listed in Annex I to the EU ETS Directive
activities helping stimulate the construction and operation of projects that aim at the environmentally safe capture and geological storage of CO2 (CCS)
activities helping the construction and operation of innovative renewable energy and energy storage technologies
Only projects with a total capital expenditure above EUR 2 500 000 and up to EUR 20 000 000 are eligible under this topic.
