Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility - Unit Contributions

Objectives: The Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility (AFIF) aims to support the deployment of alternative fuel supply infrastructure across the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), contributing to the decarbonization of transport. The facility supports actions like the rollout of high-power electricity recharging infrastructure for light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles, hydrogen refueling stations, and ammonia/methanol bunkering systems. It also funds projects focusing on electrifying port operations and airport ground operations. The expected outcome is to enhance the accessibility and availability of alternative fuels, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enabling sustainable transport solutions.
